Van mij!
No! Give it here! Mine!! Two figures always want exactly what the other has — but when they manage to play together, they tumble into a game of infinite possibilities. Mine! is a playful, visual, and physical performance with life-sized, abstract forms and infectious childlike logic: an ode to playing together.
Inspired by the toddler phase, during which the realization dawns that something can be ‘mine’ but that the world is also bigger, the performance explores how children explore boundaries and learn to share. With flexibility and forgiveness, the two characters resolve their conflicts — sometimes more easily than grown-ups. A humorous, slightly cheeky but loving journey of discovery, with (live) music playing a key role.
Garage TDI is a workshop for imagination, housing all expertise in youth theatre and dance. Artistic director Frederieke Vermeulen and creator/performer Malou van Sluis have been successfully collaborating since 2017. They create intimate, distinctive, visual, and imaginative performances for the very youngest, in which (live) music always plays a central role.
