Rhythm & Flow
In Rhythm & Flow, a cast of 12 hip-hop dancers, parkour athletes, a pole artist, and musicians meet around the edges of the stage. What happens when the rhythms of these different disciplines merge or, conversely, clash?
Inspired by the phenomenon of murmerations , in which flocks of birds move through the air, choreographer Marco Gerris allows the various disciplines to merge and separate again.
A dancer challenges a musician; they crank up the beat and feel the adrenaline pumping. They throw themselves wholeheartedly into each other’s flow.
