Huub van der Lubbe en Jan Robijns
Two old friends and musical companions reunite for a theater show full of classic hits, stories, and new material. Huub van der Lubbe (vocals, guitar) and pianist Jan Robijns present fifty years of musical history in a lighthearted and playful form.
Huub and Jan met over fifty years ago. That very same afternoon, they wrote their first song. Since then, they have sought each other out time and again. In addition to their own work – Huub as the singer of De Dijk , Jan as a pianist with The Hot Peaches and De Izzies – they realized countless projects together. Their legendary rock ‘n’ roll band Big Shot & his Rocking Guns is a swinging example of this. They also performed together in theater productions such as Wat Speelt , Solo met Jan , and the famous Concordia project.
For 2027, Huub invites his musical companion back for a theater tour. They draw from their rich musical history – but also bring fresh material. The whole is interwoven with anecdotes and stories.
