All the Blue of the Sky is a brand-new music theatre piece based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Mélissa Da Costa. Buddy Vedder and Shelley Bos star in this intimate, heartfelt musical play, directed by Daan Wijnands, with lyrics by Max Roijé and music by Mark Kuypers.
When Emile is diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s, he decides to leave his safe but suffocating surroundings behind. On an impulse, he buys a camper and places an ad for a travel companion. The mysterious Joanne responds. Together, they embark on an unexpected road trip that confronts them with memories, desires, and the question of how to go on living when the future is so uncertain.
The result is a moving theatrical performance in which story and music reinforce each other. Alle het blauw van hemel touches upon themes that everyone recognizes: loss, hope, starting over, and the courage to face oneself. A comforting experience for anyone who has ever lost someone, perhaps even themselves.
For every theater ticket sold, 1 euro goes to Alzheimer Nederland, to promote research into Alzheimer’s disease.
About Buddy Vedder, Shelley Bos and Neos Theater
Buddy Vedder is an actor, presenter, and singer. He played leading roles in musicals such as Saturday Night Fever , Het Was Zondag in het Zuiden , and Soldaat van Oranje . He also starred in De Komedie over een Bankoverval and various editions of The Christmas Show . Additionally, Buddy is a regular fixture on RTL 4, where he appears in popular programs such as Stars on Stage and The Masked Singer .
Shelley Bos shone alongside Jeroen Spitzenberger in Cyrano last theater season. Previously, she performed in Theater Oostpool’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream , among others. Thanks to her sincere acting and strong vocal qualities, she is regarded as one of the great talents of her generation.
