Gerard Alderliefste celebrates the French chanson together with friends. Eight enthusiastic musicians form a group that takes audiences into the cheerful atmosphere of a French journey – whether at a campsite or at a village fête .
With Vivre!, the ensemble returns with an evening full of warm sounds: accordion and violin carry you along to the rhythm of joie de vivre , love for music and for the French language. The setlist features classic French chansons, original work by Gerard, and interpretations by singers Rosanne and Bregje, including works by Lara Fabian and Pravi.
History: Gerard Alderliefste collaborated with top artists such as Ramses Shaffy, Liesbeth List, and Paul de Leeuw. This resulted in two top-10 hits: Laat me / Vivre and Une belle histoire – both appearing annually in the Top 2000. With his band, they released four albums and undertook just as many theater tours. The song Vivre (originally by Serge Reggiani) forms a common thread throughout his career: from intimate living room concerts to television appearances and countless theater performances.
