Rayen Panday

How do you get a grip on your past, on love, on a world that is murky and where boundaries are blurred? In his new cabaret show, Rayen Panday explores what we must let go of and what we must hold on to.

Making the right decision, managing the situation, keeping yourself in check – it seems harder than ever. Before you know it, you step over something or bump into something. After all, too much grip isn’t good either. But how do you do that, what do you let go of, and what is important enough to hold on to?

You won’t get the full answer to all these questions during the performance. Or well, maybe a little bit. What you do get, in any case, is Grip : a performance that doesn’t let go easily.

Rayen Panday (Zaandam, 1983) has been performing cabaret since his student days and has been part of Comedytrain for years. Previously, he created shows such as Vrijspraak , Niet Verder Vertellen, Fenomeen , and Karma – the latter earned him a Poelifinario nomination and selection for the Cabaret Collection of the Nederlands Theater Festival 2024. He is a regular guest on TV programs such as The Roast, LOL: Last One Laughing , Ik Hou van Holland , and Lubach’s Avondshow. Regarding Karma , Het Parool wrote: “With genuine emotion, he wins the audience over.”
