In Grondtonen, we follow a family that has become lost in a growing forest. The walls of their house have disappeared among the trees, and their furniture is sinking deeper and deeper. Mom can no longer dance; Dad hunts for ballerinas among the bushes. Only the youngest sees a blue seed and feels how the moss holds you tight as you slowly sink away.
A great forest creature rises from the earth and follows them through the trees – invisible until emotions run too high. This is a performance about families getting lost, about the fear of the unknown, and about the power that can emerge when we surrender to something greater than ourselves.
