Hooray! It’s Suus’s birthday — and August is helping to hang up the garlands. But opening the present is something she has to wait patiently for. Or should she sneak a peek after all? Cadeautje! (Little Present!) is a festive, wordless mask performance for toddlers and preschoolers based on the picture book by Miriam Bos — about curiosity, friendship, and growing up.
With the well-known characters August the Fox and Suusje the Squirrel, also the heroes of Miriam Bos’s book Help! A Surprise!, Cadeautje! takes the littlest ones on a cheerful and festive adventure. Without words, but full of expression and color — an atmospheric first introduction to theater. Afterwards, children decorate their own gift with their parents and caregivers and guess what is inside.
