Yentl en de Boer
After a sold-out tour and wildly enthusiastic reviews, cabaret duo Yentl en de Boer returns with Rekhalzen, their musical cabaret show in which they search for their ability to dream in uncertain times. A compelling and funny journey full of beautiful and quirky songs.
Rekhalzen — Old Dutch for reaching out — emphasizes what we really need: to stretch our necks a bit. Whooop, up in the air! In search of the horizon, the future, or just some kind of direction. What awaits us? Something beautiful, something surprising… or are you going to learn something you never imagined you would get around to?
Of course, things can also turn out badly: ailments, infirmity, a slow, lonely death in a public place while everyone thinks you’re joking. Or what if your neck goes up in the air, but the first glance over the fence is already so frightening that you lose all desire to stretch?
Following the success of Modderkruipers – which earned them the Poelifinario for best cabaret performance of the season – Yentl en de Boer are now performing this successful reprise full of wonderful and funny songs, accompanied by their phenomenal musicians David Gram and Charly Zastrau.
